NSBE Membership Types

Professional Membership - Professional membership is open to all professionals who hold a degree in engineering, computer science, math and the applied sciences. Graduate students have the option to join NSBE as either a collegiate or an Alumni (technical professional) member. All others are invited to become affiliate members.

Affiliate Membership - All others who do not meet the above requirements are invited to become affiliate members.

How to Join


Alumni Extension (AE)/Technical Professional National dues are $50, annually. Your AE membership is free the first year after college graduation.

Greenbelt Space Chapter dues are currently $40.00, annually.


  • National Dues: $50.00
  • Chapter Dues: $40.00 (prerequisites: active national membership)
  • TOTAL: $90.00

To join/renew NSBE National membership, go to the NSBE National website and click the Join NSBE button on the top right.

Once you are a member of the national organization, you may join/renew GSC membership by:

  1. Emailing the following information to the GSC Membership Chair:

  2. Submitting your GSC annual dues (cash or check), in person, to the treasurer or any member of the eBoard. If you prefer to pay online, you may pay directly through Cash App. The app can be downloaded from the Apple Store or GooglePlay. Find us using the handle: $NSBEGreenbeltChapter.

  • First year Alumni membership dues are waived for NSBE Collegiate members upon Graduation with an Undergraduate degree within the first year of degree completion.
